Comments - Alburtis Park

I was there this past weekend and I have a question to ask, if it is ok to ask on here, maybe someone will know the answer. I thought I could buy a beer at the park while I listened to music, but when I asked I was told I had to be a member in order to go inside to buy a beer. On the band schedule it does not say you have to be a member. So how much do I have to pay to be a member in order to buy a beer?

It is great having the park back the way it was. Great food, excellent entertainment, and a park FULL of people. It also nice that the park is all cleaned up. With these improvements and the great attitude of the management it will only get better as the word gets out that it is new and improved. Keep up the good work and thanks to all that are making it happen, from management, to workers, to patrons.

Looking forward to this Sunday\'s show, our first for 2013. The Band\'s got some new faces and a lot of new songs (to go along with our \"experienced\" faces and some old classic songs .. :~)

Hi!!! I\'m Pastor Jeff from The Great Spirit Native American Church/Diamond Productions. May 25th I will be bringing 5 Local bands form the Lehigh Valley and Pocono\'s area. The music will be starting out with Serene Green ,Blue Grass ,Country And 60\'s Music Next will be Paradigm Shift,Acostic Rock The 3rd Band Sound Throttle Classic and new rock 4th Iron Core these guys have done alot of touring and recently have a new line up.They Play originals and rock covers.They are bringing out a massive Pa light show with stage effects. Last but not least is Gail Force who have lead Vocalist Gail who also has another all original band .They will be doing Classic rock. Imyself will be Hosting the show but will not have my band there at this time.But don\'t be suprised to see me making a few apperances on stage with the other bands. We are asking for $10 donations to pay the bands ,ads, posters and Prodution costs We are not going to make a dime on this show.Rock THe Park 2 will be on Labor Day weekend 5-10 Bands. Don\'t you think the people are going to come? The way you write hopefuully they will come out. Doesn\'t sound to reassuring. But I\'ll be there. My favorite thing is bingo, not so much the music.But the time I was there last year and other years was Crazy Elmer and his jokes.But I did really enjoy the food that was served there the last 4 years. HOPEFUULLY! the food will be just as good. Nowhere can anyone top those good super dogs and french fries.

The first 7 foot of the stage was badly in need of repair (again)! Thanks to all who volunteered and a special thanks to Edward Wetzel, a retired carpenter and patron of the park for his hard work and expertise in guiding us through the project. It is once again safe and all the bands should appreciate the hard work involved. Looking forward to a great 2013 season. John, Bill and his people have put a lot of work into getting it ready and hopefully everyone will come out and patronize the park, once again.

Admission to the park is free, sat may 25 is a one time event and are asking for donations. we will not be running bingo on this one date, the fire co wanted to have something for the younger crowd. so this one time the bands are selling tickets to pay their expenses.We said we would have different music and this is it. The rest of the season is continue with tradition.it wouldnt be to everyones liking but i said one time event.

Nobody wants to volunteer anymore, cuz there are so many people out of work and are looking for some kind of income to help them get by.. Good luck trying to find the volunteers cuz they are few and far between.Best of luck with your park.

Tea Baggs and Tha Creamers are a rock and roll variety band that doesn\'t know how to turn the volume down so you can enjoy the music and vocals. They keep the instruments volume up so you can\'t hear that they can\'t sing. I walked out on two of their performances already they will not listen to the people who hire them and ask to have the volume turned down. Ask the place where they played before. Take notice I said 2 I gave them a second chance and they were the same the second time around.

Yes Jane John and bill will be running the park. They formed a committee and I\'m on it and helping them out. That\'s why I\'m posting back to people who post on the guest book. We are opening on Saturdays but that day they will have different vareitys music. Not just country. Country will be on Sundays and holidays. We all are excited to get the park open and I can say the park will be just has good if not better then when jack had it. It takes time to book the bands and get everything ready. The two who took it over are great people and know how to run a place like this. Btw idk what\'s going on with the outlaws yet but they are bookings bands

Saturdays? I thought the park was only opened on a Sunday and holidays. Did it change to Saturdays also? I thought Bill and John were doing this stuff? Cuz that\'s who is on the website. I don\'t think this park will be as good as when Jack had it. For one thing he always had the schedule and everything done and going by now. So this isn\'t all going to be Country music then? I\'m sure that is what the people are going to expect the\"good old\" country music like they had for all those years before. Because those people don\'t like change and never will. I know i\'d like to have all the old country music there will some up-to-date country also.

How do we get to see the schedule. Love the park. and know alot of the bands. Try to get the Blue Mountain Byccaneers there. They are a good up and coming variety band from schuylkill county.

we are so glad that Alburtis will be opening for 2013. We always loved coming here but have not been there in the last year due to management. Looking forward to new beginnings of the old country music we were raised on.
